Have a question for you folks. I have a couple of apps on my phone such as a grocery store and a drug store that wants me to hand over to them access to my Bluetooth. I never have my Bluetooth operational unless I'm actually using the Bluetooth headset, which is virtually never (it hasn't been used in several years). This is also the case for my location connection -- it’s never on.
My question(s) are, can the app actually turn on either of those connections and is it possible leave it on unknown to me so that it's using battery power? Also, why do they need access to either of them? I've queried both companies about this and they cannot supply me with any answers as I can never reach the folks writing the programs. I'm big into power saving, as my phone has a tendency to need recharging prior to the end of the day even using it without known power drainers such as Bluetooth and location. Please advise. I liked these two apps as I shop the locations on a weekly basis and like making my shopping lists on the phone rather than having to print out or handwrite my shopping lists.
